Prosper is an egalitarian marketplace. Allen Iverson is epitome of success in our egalitarian society. Success in the Prosper marketplace requires the same skills as Allen Iverson employs in life and on the basketball court.
Allen Iverson is an undersized guard from a underprivileged upbringing. Yet he has reached the pinnacle of personal accomplishment within his designated field. In his book, Only the Strong Survive: The Odyssey of Allen Iverson he extols the virtues on mental, emotional, and physical toughness. While success in our marketplace does not require the latter, the first two are a requirement.
We all want to make money and we all want to help others (or at least do no harm – no predatory actions). To do so you must research strategies and listings and try new and varied approaches to lending in the shifting marketplace. The only thing standing in the way is internal fortitude, stick-to-itiveness, and skill.
The beauty of our community is that the skill portion of the equation can obtained from your peers. If you don’t have all the answers, working with others can be a great way to obtain the knowledge and skill… There is money to be made on this platform, but. . .
Only the Strong Survive.
