We’re turning 5 – to celebrate your second payment is on us!

by Prosper on 02/16/11

Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday to us!

It’s our fifth birthday, and to celebrate we have a special gift just for you! If you apply for a loan and post a listing on our site on Thursday, February 17th, we will refund your second loan payment (up to $300)*!

APPLY NOW

AND – in case you didn’t hear – borrower rates were lowered again recently, so it’s never been a better time to come back to Prosper!

PS – don’t forget that this offer is good for one day only, Thursday, February 17th, so apply today!

* To be eligible for the offer, you must submit your loan listing between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. PT on February 17, 2011, and that loan listing must result in an originated loan. If you meet these criteria, Prosper will credit your second required loan payment up to $300. The credit will be posted to your account within 30 days of Prosper receiving your first payment. All personal loans are made by WebBank, a Utah-chartered Industrial Bank. Eligibility for a loan is not guaranteed and requires that a sufficient number of investors commit to fund your loan.

what do we do if we apply for a loan and it says “status: pending activation” and says the loan will not be posted to the site for one business day? do we still get the second payment refunded?

thanks!

Yes, as long as you go through the listing process and click on “Create Listing” on the last page during the time period shown above, you will be eligible for the offer as outlined.

Can a member receive the 2nd payment refund on more than one loan? Can i do two loans and get the 2nd payment refunded on both?

You are only allowed to have one loan at a time through Prosper. Borrowers are only eligible for a second loan after a minimum of six months after the first loan, so unfortunately you can only get the credit on one loan, since the offer is today only.

It’s great that many banks now offer consumers an option to get a personal loan online as you don’t have to plan your application around a bank’s normal business hours anymore.
